Requirements When Stopped

  • When stopped by police, a person with a Michigan Concealed Pistol license must disclose that they are carrying a concealed pistol.
    • 1st offense 28.425f(5)(a), 2nd offense 28.425f(5)(b)
  • Person must possess pistol license when carrying concealed pistol.
    • 28.425f(1)
  • A person with a pistol license, who is carrying a pistol, must also carry and display their pistol license and valid Michigan's driver's license or Michigan ID upon request of a police officer.
