We Care About Our Clients
We follow Christian principles in our law practice at the Aggressive Criminal Defense Law Firm. Besides providing professional legal counsel and representation, we care about our clients as people.
We also encourage our clients to provide us with background information including awards, achievements, volunteer work, family status, or anything else that puts clients in the most positive light. In short, the prosecutor will have a list of a few things you have done wrong and that list will be countered with a list ten times longer of things you are doing right.
We make counselors available to help you work through any addiction issues you may have. This can help you as a person, and it can also promote your case in court. If a judge sees that you are dealing with your problem, it can be a positive development in the case.

Client was in accident, and then drank when he returned home. Police did not believe him and charged a OWI 2 nd Offense. We pressed the prosecutor to trial, and before trial, prosecutor agreed to reduce it to a Careless Driving (civil infraction) and dismiss the OWI 2 nd Offense

Through negotiations, we had the charge reduced to DWI with no probation and no jail. Client completed a highway safety program and a Victim Impact Panel and the charged was reduced again to Careless Driving, a civil infraction rather than a criminal charge, and the OWI charge and the DWI were dismissed.

Michael G. - OWI & Refusal of PBT (A Colorado college student)
We immediately got the Refusal of PBT charge dropped and then the OWI reduced to Visibly Impaired. We got client a restricted license that allowed him to drive to keep his job. Then, after a 12 month delayed sentence, the Visibly Impaired was dismissed and client pled to Careless Driving. No jail time, no probation and no community service, no criminal record.

Clive M. - Misdemeanor Expungement
Client had a conviction on his criminal history for a misdemeanor negligent homicide due to a car accident that caused a death. We were successful in petitioning the Court to expunge the client's record, as a result, our client has no criminal record.

We got the charges reduced to one count of Misdemeanor Possession and the Prosecutor agreed to have client participate in a Diversion Program; at the end of 6 months the charge was dismissed. We helped the client get his Medical Marijuana card; and negotiated the return of property and cars that were confiscated by the police.

Karen R. - MIP & Marijuana Possession: (a Grand Valley College Student)
We were able to show doubt that the alcohol belonged to the client (a college student) and as a consequence the Prosecutor dropped the MIP charge. The Prosecutor and Judge agreed to allow the client to participate in the 7411 Division program (one of the first ever allowed in the Ottawa County Courts). After 12 months probation, the final charge was dismissed, and as a result the client has no criminal record.

Client was stopped by Police and with no evidence of alcohol possession was ordered to take a breathalyzer test. We filed a motion to suppress the evidence based on the Kalamazoo City Ordinance being unconstitutional. Motion was granted and charge was dismissed, criminal record was cleared.

Through negotiations with the Prosecutor, we were able to have client participate in a Diversion program; no jail time, no community service; and the charge was dismissed at the end of the program, no criminal record.

Laura L. - DUI 3 rd
Felony: Client was pulled over ½ mile from her home with the police claiming she was swerving within her lane. Motions were filed in circuit court challenging the stop. Additionally, a blood alcohol expert was brought in to challenge the results of a .09 Chemical Datamaster. Negotiations were held with the prosecutor who opted to drop the case rather than take it to trial. Case dismissed, no criminal record.

At the time she decided to turn herself in, in late 2005, she was living in Florida and that is when she was referred to our office. After discussing her personal situation with her Probation Officer and sharing the steps she had taken to turn her life around with the Judge that would be hearing her case, he arranged for her turn in. She was facing at least six months in jail, community service, and payment of fines. Mr. Willis was successful in his negotiations and the penalties were reduced to requiring payment of fines only!
